We are a full-service CPA firm advising businesses and their owners on tax, accounting, and financial matters. From our office in Metro Detroit, we represent businesses with operations throughout the United States and Canada.

We employ a proactive approach. We stay involved with our clients throughout the year and keep abreast of changes to government regulations and programs, allowing us to identify issues before they arise. Using this proactive approach, we can timely advise our clients on how to best navigate the everchanging regulatory environment and provide them with an idea of their tax liability - as well as ideas on how to reduce that liability - prior to year-end.

We offer a well-rounded team to meet your business' needs. Our team approach means multiple people can assist in any circumstance. At the same time, our team members have a variety of professional backgrounds that allow for an assortment of perspectives. Our Team

Brian Cain, CPA

Brian specializes in tax and financial consulting for businesses and their owners and also has extensive experience providing audit and accounting services. With the expiration of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act coming at the end of 2025, Brian looks forward to its replacement and the tax planning opportunities that it will afford.

Brian received his undergraduate degree in accounting from Notre Dame, his master's degree in accounting from Ohio State, and his master's degree in taxation from Walsh College. He started his career with a Big Four accounting firm in Detroit before spending time with a couple of mid-size firms in Oakland County. Brian joined the firm in 2013 and became partner in 2015.

The father of two boys, Brian has learned more about YouTube and Minecraft than he ever thought possible. He enjoys dragging his family on cross-country trips and reading nonfiction books about great achievements of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Lisa Grifka

Lisa joined the firm in 1996 and has proven to be the ultimate team player over the past 25+ years. Lisa handles many of the firm’s new clients, especially start-ups. She assists these clients with setting up bank accounts, accounting systems, and the underlying accounting processes necessary for a business to function. In addition, Lisa prepares personal income tax returns, handles client payroll tax filings, and performs monthly and quarterly accounting services. More importantly, she provides reassurance and assistance to clients struggling with QuickBooks Online or frustrated with one of the state's many web portals.

Lisa is the proud mother of two boys. Incredibly social, Lisa is making the most of post-pandemic life by spending as much time as possible with friends and family from the shores of the Gulf Coast to the banks of St. Joseph River to “Up North” Michigan.

John Bausano

John joined the firm in 2019 and provides accounting and tax services. John received his undergraduate degree from Oakland University and is currently preparing for the CPA exam. After passing the exam, he plans on pursuing his master’s degree in taxation.

Prior to joining the firm, John was a cook for 10 years at several restaurants in and around Rochester. In fact, he loves the restaurant game so much that he occasionally still picks up a shift at a local brewpub. When not working, he enjoys cooking at home and traveling to try new foods and drinks.

Nicholas Isley

Nick joined the firm in January 2023 and provides services to some of the firm's largest clients. Nick earned his undergraduate degree from Wayne State University, where he was a running back on the football team.

Nick enjoys the outdoors. While tax season (and climate change) hinder his ability to ice fish, he goes on an annual fishing trip with family in Canada each spring, hunts deer on his grandfather's land each fall, and gets out on the golf course every chance he gets.

Aleksandra Dushku

Aleksandra joined the firm in September 2023 and has been the quickest study in firm new hire history. Aleksandra received her undergraduate degree in accounting from Michigan State University. She plans to receive a master's in accounting and sit for the CPA exam.

In her free time, Aleksandra likes making new recipes - especially those of Mediterranean cuisine - as well as spending quality time with friends and family.

Ryan Korolden

Ryan joined the firm in September 2023. Ryan received his undergraduate degree from Wayne State University, where he pitched for the baseball team.

During his first tax season, Ryan worked a full schedule while finishing his undergraduate degree and training for baseball. In addition to providing accounting and tax services to our clients, Ryan pitches for the East Side Diamond Hoppers of United Shore Professional Baseball League.

Shari Beahm

Shari is in her third stint with the firm. She first joined the firm in 1997 but left Metro Detroit after only a year. After stops in Maryland, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Illinois, Shari returned to the area and the firm in 2004. She and her husband retired to Georgia in 2019. Missing the thrill of busy season, Shari came out of retirement in 2021 to provide seasonal help, focusing primarily on accounting services.

A native of Kansas City, Shari graduated from Missouri Valley College with a double major in accounting and business.

Chloe Guingrich, Office Manager

Chloe is the cheerful voice that answers your calls and the smiling face that greets you when you come in. She is a former Oakland women's basketball player with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a minor degree in sociology. She absolutely adores her German shepherd, Zelda - who you might happen to see in the office while on break from office security detail - as well as her two cats, Dexter Morgan and Bleu. Her favorite hobbies include going camping/hiking, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.
